DRESS CODE

Dance shoes are required to be fitted & ordered through the studio to keep classes uniform for recitals.  

 

GIRLS - All classes MUST wear LEOTARD, TIGHTS and proper DANCE SHOES and HAIR secured in pony or bun out of face.

          Hair MUST be PULLED BACK at ALL times! BUN is REQUIRED for ALL 45 minute classes and long hair.

          ● NO bare midriffs

          ● NO extra clothing! NO sweatshirts or sweatpants are allowed at any time!

          ● NO necklaces, hanging earrings, bracelets, rings (with the exception of engagement or wedding rings)

          ● Wrap sweaters & Chiffon skirts accepted

 

BOYS - ALL classes MUST wear FITTED DANCE PANTS (prefer) or fitted athletic pants NO pockets, FITTED LONG T/SHIRT or

        TANK (tucked in at all times) and proper DANCE SHOES and HAIR secured out of face.

        ● Hair MUST be PULLED back and securely fastened at all times!

        ● NO bare midriffs – shirts should be longer and tucked in - may also wear ribbed tank top tucked in

        ● NO Jeans, sweatpants, or sweatshirts allowed at any time. Please avoid pants with pockets.

 

Ballet & Pointe classes (Pre-ballet age 2-4, Ballet age 5-adult)

Girls must wear a leotard and tights at all times! Chiffon skirt is accepted OVER leotard/tights. Dance sweater wraps are accepted OVER leotard. No other extra clothing is allowed. Boys MUST wear fitted dance pants and fitted ribbed tank or long T-shirt tucked in at all times. Hair must be pulled back out of face; bun is required for ALL 45 minute/hour classes and for longer hair.

 

Ballet shoes:  Girls - pink leather ballet shoes are required (Recommend Capezio Daisy 205).

         Advanced ballet classes are required to wear pink canvas ballet shoes.

                    Boys - Wear the same style shoes in Black.

                                 

         Pointe: Professionally fitted pink pointe shoes are required, scheduled by appointment. Teacher approval required.

Lyrical & Contemporary Classes (Lyrical age 10-adult, Contemporary age 14-adult)

Boys MUST wear fitted dance pants and fitted ribbed tank or long T-shirt tucked in at all times. Hair must be pulled back out of face; bun is required for ALL 45 minute/hour classes and for longer hair.

Lyrical & Contemporary shoes​: Capezio H064W nude Hanami Pirouette half-sole shoes.

Jazz Classes (Pre-jazz age 7-8, Jazz age 9-adult)

Boys MUST wear fitted dance pants and fitted ribbed tank or long T-shirt tucked in at all times. Hair must be pulled back out of face; bun is required for ALL 45 minute/hour classes and for longer hair.

 

Jazz shoes: Capezio EJ2 black Jazz shoes.

Tap Classes (age 5-adult)

Tap shoes: Capezio N625 black tap shoes - Boys and dancers age 11 and up: CG17 black Fluid full tie tap shoes.

Musical Theater Classes (age 8-adult)

Hip Hop Classes (Mini-Hip Hop age 6-7, Hip Hop age 8-adult)

Hip Hop shoes: Pastry #72050 Dance Sneakers (Strongly recommended) or Black /white trim,laces Sneakers.

AcroDance Classes (Baby AcroDance age 3-5, AcroDance age 6-adult)

Mini AcroDance shoes: (age 3-5 30-minute classes) Capezio Daisy 205 pink leather ballet shoes (Black for Boys).

AcroDance shoes: (age 6-Adult 45-minute classes) Capezio H064W nude Hanami Pirouette half-sole shoes.

Hula & Tahitian Classes (Hula age 8-adult, Tahitian age 13-adult)

Girls must wear a leotard and stirrup, footless or convertible tights at all times! Chiffon skirt is accepted OVER leotard/tights. Dance sweater wraps are accepted OVER leotard. No other extra clothing is allowed. Boys MUST wear fitted dance pants and fitted ribbed tank or long T-shirt tucked in at all times. Hair must be pulled back out of face; bun is required for ALL 45 minute/hour classes and for longer hair.

Hula/Tahitian: No shoes, dancers practice and perform barefoot.
